Alexis Austin – Managing Partner

Alexis graduated magna cum laude, earning both a B.A. in psychology and a B.A. in philosophy from the University of Memphis, Tennessee. She then headed west to attend the University of Denver Sturm College of Law in Colorado. She studied for three years at DU and spent one summer in Florence, Italy, where she studied under U.S. Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts through Pennsylvania State University. While in law school, she represented low-income clients in civil matters, with particular emphasis on helping domestic violence victims seek protection orders, through the clinical program DU maintains.

Alexis Austin then worked for many years as a prosecutor, gaining expertise in prosecution and law enforcement tactics, before deciding to use that knowledge to defend clients. As an intern, Alexis prosecuted traffic and misdemeanor cases with the Arapahoe County District Attorney's Office from 2012 to 2014. She worked with the Special Victims Unit, or "SVU", during that time with an emphasis on helping victims of child molestation. In 2014, Alexis moved to Pueblo, Colorado, and began working as a prosecutor there. In the Pueblo County District Attorney's Office, she was promoted to lead domestic violence county court prosecutor. There, she helped develop the domestic violence fast-track program for Pueblo County and earned multiple certifications in domestic violence prevention, treatment and trial tactics.

Alexis was then promoted to the felony prosecution unit, where she handled cases ranging from felony DUI and drug offenses to serious assaults, trafficking and homicides. Alexis was assigned to the vehicular homicide/vehicular assault team as well the homicide on-call team. In those positions, she regularly trained police officers and sheriff's deputies in matters of law enforcement and gave legal advice on scenes involving death. In 2016, she joined the 4th Judicial District Attorney's Office in Colorado Springs to be closer to family.

Alexis has always believed in second chances and helping people as much as she can. While she tried to maintain that position as a DA, it became increasingly clear to her that she could do more to help people by representing them than by working for the government. So in 2017, Alexis joined the Liberty Law Center. She was invited in as a named partner based on her experience practicing criminal law, and it was there that she found her calling defending clients and fighting to protect their rights. She fosters a strong connection with her clients and is truly dedicated to ensuring that they receive the most diligent representation, both in court and in the intricate legal system as a whole.

After working in a firm with a long history of practicing criminal defense in Colorado Springs, Alexis began to see ways in which the client experience could be improved by using more technologically advanced systems and integrating automation to reduce company overhead and thereby reduce client costs. Thus, in 2018 Alexis opened her own firm — Right Law Group. She specifically designed the firm to be tailored toward the client experience rather than focusing on the attorney's accomplishments. Right Law Group embodies an emerging new wave of legal representation in which attorneys truly provide services to clients rather than simply giving legal advice. The entire firm is custom-built with clients' wants, needs and expectations in mind, and Alexis could not be prouder of the results the firm has seen so far.

Esohe Igbinedion – Associate Attorney

Esohe attended Rice University and then the Appalachian School of Law (ASL), where she focused on trial strategy and practice. During her time at ASL, she was a semifinalist in the ASL Intramural Moot Court Competition, participated in the Merhige Environmental Negotiation Competition and served on the Moot Court Board as vice judging chair. Due to her love of community, Esohe spent her free time trying to help those around her. She participated in the Mentor Program and later became an ASL ambassador, educating prospective law students on the school history, curriculum and surrounding area. She also volunteered as a Lions Club member, a local community service association, bringing prescription glasses to those who could not afford them.

Though a California native, Esohe decided to move to Colorado Springs to begin her legal career. While studying for the Colorado bar exam, she worked for the Gasper Law Group, where she focused on legal research and client relations. After becoming licensed as a Colorado attorney, she chose to focus on criminal law. She now works as an associate attorney at Right Law Group, primarily defending clients with traffic offenses in municipal and county courts. Not only does she handle the complicated legal system, but she also helps clients navigate the complex issues that may arise in other areas of their lives as a result of dealing with criminal charges. As a young attorney, she is passionate about the law and providing competent and compassionate representation to her clients. In her spare time, Esohe enjoys painting and exploring Colorado Springs and the surrounding mountain towns.
